SUMMARY
The Tillamook County housing market was not functioning well for far too many people, threatening the county’s livability and economic vitality. czb worked for six months in 2016 with the Tillamook County Housing Task Force and other local stakeholders to understand how the housing market worked, to pinpoint which factors were contributing to critical imbalances, and to provide direction for moving forward in ways that will achieve a healthier housing market and a stronger community.

Post-Project Impacts
Planning Pays Off
County Commissioners adopted a new tax to fund a countywide housing coordinator, as recommended by the study, and established a County Housing Advisory Committee which has begun work on new tax and land use policy to facilitate the development of new affordable housing.
