czb is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Park City Municipal Corporation to facilitate the city's long term visioning process, beginning in 2009. Park City, home to Sundance and the 2002 Winter Olympics selected czb to help the community look to the future and build a set of values-based policies to guide growth and development.

czb presents to board of directors of pennsylvania housing finance agency

On December 13, 2006 czb culminated more than 18 months of work with the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency when it delivered to the Agency's Policy subcommittee of the Board of Directors the attached presentation on Community Impacts. This work analyzed thousands of submarkets across the Commonwealth and the relationship of market conditions to affordable housing projects financed in part by the Low Income Housing Tax Credit. Stockton to invest in crime-ridden Kentfield

Crime is down 20 percent in the Kentfield neighborhood of Stockton, CA where czb has been advising the city's police department, on deployment strategy, and on connecting new czb-defined community policing approaches to market-based revitalization work.

czb developing prototype qap for pennsylvania in effort to deconcentrate poverty

czb was awarded a followup contract to its earlier joint work with The Reinvestment Fund for the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. Presently czb is building a prototype QAP for the Agency, with an emphasis on rethinking how LIHTC dollars can be used in market appropriate ways.

The City of Bridgeport, CT has selected czb to draft its new housing policy. The czb team is a partnership of czb, Atlanta-based MATTER Inc, and the Boulder, CO analytics firm RRC.

CZB associate Mel Freeman has recently received his masters in public policy from the University of Delaware. Congratulations!

czb working with wk kellogg foundation

czb has been advising the WK Kellogg Foundation for a year now on strategies for addressing the Out of School Youth problems America faces. Approximately 380,000 kids a year drop out of high school, a staggering national problem. czb, in partnership with Bethesda-based KELA group, is working on the development of New Options for Youth, and is concentrating present efforts in this project on CBO innovations in Pittsburgh, Boston, and Tucson.
