Jeff Zabin

Jeff Zabin is a globally recognized consultant, author and speaker in technology-enabled business strategy and marketing improvement. He is co-founder and CEO of Gleanster, a new company dedicated to benchmarking best practices in technology-enabled business initiatives, delivering actionable insights that allow industry practitioners to make smart decisions and match their needs with vendor solutions. Until December 2009, he served as vice president and research fellow at Aberdeen Group, building the company’s Customer Management Technology practice, advising major marketing solutions providers, leading various strategic initiatives and hosting the annual CMO Summit.
 
Zabin is the author of two bestselling business books as well as dozens of influential trade magazine articles and market research reports. His research has also been published in top practitioner and academic journals. He has consulted to some the world’s largest consumer brands on issues related to data-driven marketing improvement and technology innovation and is a frequent keynote speaker at industry conferences and business forums.
 
Prior to joining Aberdeen, Zabin was chief marketing evangelist at Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO) and vice president of marketing at Seurat Company, which was acquired by FICO in 2003. He began his career in educational publishing, at Houghton Mifflin Company, and later served as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Bolivia. Zabin has served on the advisory boards of several nonprofit organizations, including the Taproot Foundation, which engages marketing professionals in pro bono services to benefit educational, environmental and social services agencies. In addition to CZB, he is currently advising a new educational technology venture being launched by Pearson, the global media company. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, he lives with his wife and three children in Evanston, Illinois.
